Modeling agencies are always on the look-out for new talent. Of course you shouldn't get this confused with the notion that they're desperate. Trust me; they're not. In fact, model agencies are quite picky, if you haven't noticed. I've had my share of go-sees in New York and Atlanta. I've even tackled a couple modeling/talent competitions. Sadly I wasn't interested enough to take it all the way. I blew off two great opportunities and moved onto something else. As it turned out, modeling was not my passion in life. I'd much rather prefer to write. Now, let me tell you why. After strolling into numerous model agencies with my portfolio of fancy pictures, I began to realize something. Most of the folks I encountered weren't that pleasant. It's not that they didn't pass me compliments or offer good advice, but they never seemed jovial in any way. This could either be due to the fact that they're sick of seeing more and more potentials, or they're bitter because they wanted to model at one point in their life, but couldn't. Hmm, who knows!
You can find any modeling agency you please on the web. And if you're truly interested in getting into the business, you should contact them with your personal stats and a few good photos. Let them see what you've got to offer the modeling world. They may be interested and maybe not. The key is to stay diligent and progress forward. Different model agencies are looking for different things. The ones that succeed in this business are the ones who don't give up.
