You see, many companies have massive selloffs at the last minute. This is especially true of travel companies. Discount airline tickets, cheap cruises, and even inexpensive hotels can all be found if you are willing to get last minutes vacation deals. Whether or not it makes sense to travel this way depends on your perspective. If you are someone who needs to have a set destination in mind at all times, it is definitely not the way for you to travel. After all, you never know if you're going to be able to find tickets for Europe in the last minutes, say, or hotel accommodations in Guatemala. If, on the other hand, you are pretty open to unconventional travel planning, it might make a lot of sense for you to do. After all, it is always nice to get to explore a new city, and not knowing anything about your destination can make it that much more exciting.
I have taken last minutes trips all over the globe. My favorite destination was the time that I want to Costa Rica. Costa Rica travel is generally fairly expensive. After all, the economy is based largely on American tourists with a fair amount of money. Therefore, I was really surprised when I found discount tickets for Costa Rica in the 11th hour. I had about a week off, and I was contemplating whether or not I wanted to travel. I figured that I would not be able to find anything cheap, but when I found those tickets I jumped right on it. I bought a tour book, packed a bag, and was gone four hours later.
Let me tell you, that trip was the time of my life. I have never been anywhere so fun. The people were warm, the climate was perfect, and the island was absolutely beautiful. All in all, I know that I have to go back there again someday – that is, unless I can find last minutes trips to an even more beautiful island.
