There is plenty to do on the island for an active vacation or just to admire one of the unspoilt spots in the state. It's even possible to adopt one of the local Orcas and receive information on their progress. Kayak tours are also popular with adventurous tourists who want to try their hand at sea kayaking or even some exhilarating whitewater kayaking.

One of the most relaxing attractions on the island is the Pelindaba Lavender Farm. This is a thriving business near Friday Harbor Washington and is open to the public. Fields of lavender stretch out and the scent is delightful. There is a shop, which sells the company's product range, including essential oils, jewelry and items for décor.
